As the largest co-educations Jewish school in Montreal we welcome over 700 students from kindergarten to grade 11.
The school invites applications for the following position:
Athletics and Community Experience Program Coordinator - High School
Reports to: Director of the High School
Status: Full Time
Start Date: 2026-2027 school year
Job Purpose:
This position consists of part-time teaching and administrative responsibilities.
The Sports and Community Activities Coordinator provides guidance and leads the school's sports and community activities programs, ensuring their smooth operation.
Specific responsibilities include:
Athletics Coordinator
- Expand participation in co-curricular athletic activities.
- Represent the school at QAIS, GMAA and JISA events and meetings.
- Ensure paperwork is properly completed and sent to sports organizations in a timely manner.
- Hire coaching staff.
- Provide coaching staff with proper training, development and feedback.
- Work with other schools and coaches to coordinate schedules.
- Schedule practice times and use of the gym facilities.
- Organize transportation to and from sporting events.
- Maintain contact with parents regarding schedules, transportation, etc.
- Ensure the safety of all student-athletes.
- Ensure payment of athletics fees and collection of registration forms.
- Meet regularly with the administrative team.
- Promote sports and provide timely information to the public relation coordinator.
- Ensure student-athletes maintain proper academic standings.
- Maintain and update team records.
- Maintain and update athletics website.
- Manage athletic equipment and ensure the safety, cleanliness and upkeep of athletic facilities.
Community Experience Coordinator
- Keep the community experience program up to date and relevant.
- Post new community service opportunities and update community service bulletin boards as well as community service website.
- Communicate with parents when necessary.
- Communicate with various community outreach programs and organizations.
- Evaluate students and provide appropriate feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field;
- Have a minimum of five years of similar experience;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Natural leadership skills with a high level of initiative, energy and commitment.
