Title : Teacher English Language Arts and English Math Teacher

Reports to : Director of the Elementary

Status : Full time - Replacement

Start Date : school year 2026-2027

Summary of the job position

We are seeking passionate and innovative teachers to join our dynamic educational community for the upcoming school year. In this rewarding role, teachers will be responsible for planning and delivering a rigorous academic curriculum while adapting their teaching methods to meet diverse student needs, fostering their overall growth and success. Working within a caring environment equipped with modern digital resources, they will collaborate closely with the pedagogical team and families to uphold our standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and design teaching and learning situations in line with the English Language Arts and English Math program.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, supporting both those facing academic challenges and advanced students seeking enrichment.
  • Establish a positive, safe, and focused classroom climate that promotes mutual respect and active participation.
  • Utilize school technological tools (computers, tablets, learning management platforms) to enrich instruction and track student progress.
  • Evaluate learning progress and the level of competency acquisition among students.
  • Work in close collaboration with the educational team, support staff, and administration. Ensure regular and constructive communication with parents.
  • Create and maintain the essential conditions for a classroom climate conducive to learning.
  • Adhere to the philosophy, values, and directions put forward by the school, and actively promote its educational project.
  • Provide academic and disciplinary follow-up for students in collaboration with parents and the grade-level administration.
  • Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development days, parent-teacher interviews, as well as school events and activities.
  • Perform any other related duties expected of a teacher.

Qualifications and Required Skills
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in teaching and a certificate awarded by the Ministry of Education
  • Knowledge of the curriculum and understanding of the issues.
  • Experience teaching at the elementary or secondary level would be an asset.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Be organized and able to plan effectively
  • Be sensitive to and open to the culture and values of our school community
  • Be recognized as a dynamic, motivated and inspiring individual.
  • Teaching certificate or authorization to teach from the Quebec Ministry of Education
  • Brevet d’enseignement
