The school invites applications for the following positions:

Position Title: Facilities Manager

Reports to: Director of Finance and Operations

Status: Full Time - replacement contract

Start Date: Immediately

Specific Responsibilities

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and executing all aspects of maintenance and operations across two buildings. Key responsibilities include:

Facilities Maintenance & Operations

Oversee the maintenance and repair of:

  • Building envelope and roof
  • Garage, doors, and gates
  • Mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • BACnet and building controls
  • Elevator
  • Life safety and security systems (Firedrill & Lockdown)
  • Grease and chemical basins
  • Garbage and recycling management
  • Utilities
  • Furniture

And :

  • Supervise the maintenance team
  • Execute minor maintenance and repairs
  • Coordinate snow removal, landscaping and irrigation
  • Manage syndicate joint maintenance elements between the YM-YWHA and Herzliah

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Negotiate, manage, and monitor supplier contracts for services, maintenance, and repairs
  • Act as the primary liaison with outside vendors and service providers

Planning & Budgeting

  • Prepare the annual capital maintenance and repair budget
  • Monitor expenses to ensure cost-effective operations

Facility Use & Events

  • Coordinate event setup and takedown to support organizational needs
  • Ensure facilities and building systems are in proper working order through regular inspections

Candidate Profile:

- Experience managing facilities over 50,000 square feet

- Knowledge of building systems including BACnet and building controls

- Experience performing minor repairs, painting, hardware etc.
