Student Life
Clubs & Activities
Clubs are co-curricular activities that fall under the umbrella of PEP, the acronym for Personal Enrichment Program. These programs are open to all students and are offered during the lunch hour. We are constantly looking to increase the variety of the programs we offer. Some of the PEP programs we currently offer are: Art, Suzuki Violin, Dance, Glee Club, Chess, Intra Mural Sports etc. Participation in these clubs is optional and free of charge.
Extra Curricular After-School Activities are offered at an additional cost. There are two session, one in the fall and a second in spring. Each session is comprised of 8 weekly, one hour, sessions. The activities offered in each session may differ. Students may register for the activities of their choice, and are free to choose one or both sessions. Some of the fun and engaging activities being offered are: JHoops-Basketball, Ceramic Art, Floor Hockey, Crochet, Coding, Kung Fu, Cooking, Chess, Yoga, Dance, Breakdancing, Painting, Beading, etc.
Extra-Curricular
At Talmud Torah, we offer a wide array of after-school extracurricular activities designed to inspire creativity, promote physical well-being, and encourage personal growth. Students have the chance to participate in a variety of engaging programs such as culinary classes, gymnastics, martial arts, arts and crafts, and much more. These activities provide students with opportunities to explore new interests, develop important life skills, and build lasting friendships. Through hands-on learning and collaboration, students gain confidence, enhance their problem-solving abilities, and cultivate leadership qualities, all within a nurturing and supportive environment.
Sports
At Talmud Torah, our after-school sports programs for grades 5 and 6 provide students with the opportunity to participate in competitive soccer and basketball games against other Jewish day schools. These activities not only promote physical fitness and teamwork but also encourage school pride and strengthen the bonds within our Jewish community. Through friendly competition, students develop leadership skills, discipline, and a sense of fair play, all in a supportive and inclusive environment.
